A type-forward rebrand of a beloved local film institution

SIFF is a well-known and beloved Seattle film institution that currently lacks any consistent branding. SIFF’s variety of offerings, dedication to their audience, and thoughtful film curation are what make it so unique.  It provides a rich, layered experience that needed to be reflected in their visuals.

We developed the concept Brain Candy to drive SIFF’s rebrand. Going to see a film at SIFF is like a treat for your brain — it will engage and delight your mind and senses. We created a cohesive kit of parts that can be used across digital and print materials to convey the vibrant and unique spirit of SIFF.

Digital Templates
SIFF has a very  loyal and tech-savvy audience, so it was important to overhaul their existing website. Most people use the SIFF website to find out about films and purchase tickets. We structured the website to display the currently playing films front and center and made it easy to purchase tickets from the landing page. We also focused on creating easy to use templates for Instagram and their weekly e-mail newsletters.
